Like all the Scandinavian countries we have multiple micro resorts and just a few bigger hitters. Long seasons, friendly locals, a relaxed apres ski, floodlit night skiing and superb views await in any of the Finnish resorts.

Yllas and Levi with with 55km and 39km of piste respectively are the two major players in Finland but in reality they just cannot compete with the Alpine market. Therefore it tends to be beginners, low level intermediates and locals that ski here. Many guests will mix the Levi skiing with a Santa’s lapland break and participate in the whole Father Christmas experience with sleigh rides, dog sledding, enchanted forests, ice fishing, and a visit to see Santa.

As we are so far north, seasons are very long but also very dark in the winter months and hence the locals tend to come out more so in the spring. To contact this floodlight skiing for mid afternoon to night skiing is always available and if never done before is a great experience.

The gateway airports used are Ivalo, Kittila, Kuuasamo,and Rovaniemi.
