Les Arcs 2000, France

Overview

Directly on the slopes, it's not just ski in, ski out but built into the piste – arguably the best location in Les Arcs. The open plan lounge and dining area has a huge central fireplace as the focal point and a show kitchen to watch how the chefs rustle up your delicious food each evening. The height of this room is impressive with windows climbing up the two storey frontage flooding the space with natural light. The terrace spills out the from the lounge with fantastic panoramic mountain views to enjoy around the fire pit. Relaxing around an outdoor roaring fire after a day on the slopes can only be topped by having a cup of hot cocoa or a large glass of wine in hand. Something we hope you'll enjoy as much as we do.

As you can ski to and from the ski room door there's absolutely no walking in your ski boots required. In the evenings, it's 100m stroll across the piste to the centre of Arc 2000, you'll be hitting the après of the village in no time. Alternatively, you can relax in the chalet pool and sauna, have some afternoon tea and cake around the fire or catch a movie in the TV lounge before the pre-dinner bubbles and canapes come around.

The chalet sleeps 14 people in 7 rooms including a junior and master suite. Floating over the lounge at the front of the chalet is a mezzanine chill out area which links via a glass walkway to the TV lounge. In total, there are three separate seating areas so plenty of space to spread out. The second floor areas are perfect to get away from it all, whether you get stuck into a book, crack out Kerplunk or catch up with an old series of Friends, it's yours to use how you see best. The whole chalet has a modern mountain style, full of cosy features and a pastel inspired colour scheme. As you'd expect, there's plenty of real wood or slate flooring with underground heating throughout the chalet – you can't beat toasty floors in the mornings.

Meals

Chalet des Cascades is a catered chalet which includes breakfast with hot options, afternoon tea and cakes, pre-dinner canapés with sparkling wine as well as a four course evening meal followed by aperitifs. This is all prepared by in house chefs in the open show kitchen, so you may get to watch them in action.

Each week there is a chalet night off, this is normally a Tuesday or Wednesday. On this day you'll still get breakfast as well as the afternoon tea, however, there'll be no evening meal. The chalet staff can help you with booking restaurants or simply recommending places to try.

Flexible durations available all season

Chalet des Cascades can be booked for short breaks all season long, even during peak dates such as Christmas, New Year and Half Term. You can book either room by room or have sole occupancy of the chalet December through April.
