Chalet Monte Bianco, Les Arcs 2000
The Monte Bianco is situated on the ninth and top floor of the Altitude residence in the heart of Les Arcs 2000, and makes a highly convenient choice for families, with easy ski access nearby and childcare in a neighbouring building.
The top floor position of the apartment offers some of the most impressive views over the resort and valley, both from the balcony off the main living area, and those in some of the bedrooms where sloping ceilings and some exposed beams also add character and warmth. The living and dining area is open plan and traditionally styled with wood panelling, pine furnishings, a fireplace, and TV/DVD. This particular apartment has an extra feature, offering a room dedicated as a children’s snug.
The short button lift, which gives direct access to the wider lift system of the impressive Paradiski area, is only 100m from the main entrance and at the end of the day, you can ski back to within just a short walk of the residence.
Extra facilities here are comprehensive, with all our guests having use of the indoor pool, a sauna, ski lockers, ski room, underground parking and lifts to all floors, plus there’s even a handy bar on the ground floor to relax in before or after dinner!
Dropping off or collecting your children booked into our childcare, is straightforward with our Esprit childcare rooms all located in the neighbouring Chalets de L’Ours, which can be reached via an underground corridor.
Children in our childcare programme will use Chalet Monte Bianco, Chalet McKinley and Chalet Olympus at lunchtime.
Breakfast – is served buffet-style with a selection of cold options including a choice of cereals or porridge, cold meats, cheese and preserves, bread (and croissants in France), fruit juices, tea and coffee and a cooked breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs and beans. On the staff day off, a continental style breakfast is laid out for you to help yourselves in all chalets.
Afternoon Tea – Every day, apart from our staff day off, a home-baked cake and tea and coffee making facilities are laid out for you to help yourself when you return from the slopes.
High Tea for all children under 11 is at 5.30pm. It is served as a 2 course healthy menu, tailored more towards children’s tastes and puréed food is available for infants. Parents are asked to accompany their children under 3, whilst 3-10 years old are supervised by our childcare team.
Evening Meals – Adult dinner is at 7.30pm comprises 3 courses including an appetiser, main dish and dessert. The meal is accompanied by a prosecco apéritif and a choice of red, rose and white wines, culminating with tea or coffee. A 3 course regional speciality menu is served as one of the 6 evening meals in chalets. This varies by country and the French menu includes charcuterie, goat’s cheese salad, tartiflette and tarte tatin, accompanied by the prosecco apéritif and choice of wines.
On Staff Night Off, you and your family have the opportunity to eat out in one of the local restaurants. Ask our staff for any recommendations.
Family Dining – Many parents prefer to enjoy adult-only company over dinner but if it’s important to you to eat dinner altogether as a family, we offer Family Dining when you book the entire chalet for exclusive use. Dinner is then served from 6.30pm with the menu based on our adult dishes with some flexibility for the children’s preferences. There is a supplement of £39 per child for Family Dining.
