Chalet Fitzroy, Les Arcs 2000
Overview
Chalet Fitzroy is perfect for a couple of families to share together, being one of our chalet apartments sleeping just 8, in the Altitude residence.
The résidence offers ultimate convenience for both the skiing and our childcare, as it sits only 100m from the nearest lift, and right next door to our Childcare rooms, in the de l’Ours residence.
You will have your own dedicated host here, and find all essential comforts with the open plan living/dining area having a fireplace, TV and French doors leading outside where you can enjoy beautiful views down towards Arcs 1950. The interior furnishings and fittings are traditionally Alpine in style, with wood panelling a feature throughout the rooms, whilst the en suite bathrooms are well designed with hairdryers also provided.
Additional facilities are excellent here, with all guests having access to the indoor swimming-pool,a shared sauna, ski lockers, ski room, and underground parking. With the main entrance at road level being on the fourth floor, the apartments are situated above and below, all linked by lifts to every floor. What this means is that virtually all the apartments benefit from great views over the valley below and of the surrounding peaks.
Meals:
Breakfast – is served buffet-style with a selection of cold options including a choice of cereals or porridge, cold meats, cheese and preserves, bread (and croissants in France), fruit juices, tea and coffee and a cooked breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs and beans. On the staff day off, a continental style breakfast is laid out for you to help yourselves in all chalets.
Afternoon Tea – Every day, apart from our staff day off, a home-baked cake and tea and coffee making facilities are laid out for you to help yourself when you return from the slopes.
High Tea for all children under 11 is at 5.30pm. It is served as a 2 course healthy menu, tailored more towards children’s tastes and puréed food is available for infants. Parents are asked to accompany their children under 3, whilst 3-10 years old are supervised by our childcare team.
Evening Meals – Adult dinner is at 7.30pm comprises 3 courses including an appetiser, main dish and dessert. The meal is accompanied by a prosecco apéritif and a choice of red, rose and white wines, culminating with tea or coffee. A 3 course regional speciality menu is served as one of the 6 evening meals in chalets. This varies by country and the French menu includes charcuterie, goat’s cheese salad, tartiflette and tarte tatin, accompanied by the prosecco apéritif and choice of wines.
On Staff Night Off, you and your family have the opportunity to eat out in one of the local restaurants. Ask our staff for any recommendations.
Family Dining – Many parents prefer to enjoy adult-only company over dinner but if it’s important to you to eat dinner altogether as a family, we offer Family Dining when you book the entire chalet for exclusive use. Dinner is then served from 6.30pm with the menu based on our adult dishes with some flexibility for the children’s preferences. There is a supplement of £39 per child for Family Dining.
