Chalet Charlotte, La Rosiere
Overview
Chalet Charlotte may only sleep 9 guests, but with its floor to ceiling windows and large balcony off the attractive lounge and dining area, it is spacious and light, and offers some of the best views over the resort and valley from its position on the top floor of the Ourson building. It is ideal for two families, with two self-contained suites, one of which has split-level sleeping areas, which will appeal to older children as this triple room will be their own “den” under the eaves.
The interior style of the chalet is traditionally Alpine with warm wood panelling, an exposed stone feature fireplace, and beamed ceilings throughout which add charm and character.
Its location is enviable, being ski in/ski out, and as it sits right between two of our chalets, Le Bracconnier and the Ferme d’Elisa, where our childcare is based, organising all the family each day could hardly be simpler.
Meals:
Breakfast – is served buffet-style with a selection of cold options including a choice of cereals or porridge, cold meats, cheese and preserves, bread (and croissants in France), fruit juices, tea and coffee and a cooked breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs and beans. On the staff day off, a continental style breakfast is laid out for you to help yourselves in all chalets.
Afternoon Tea – Every day, apart from our staff day off, a home-baked cake and tea and coffee making facilities are laid out for you to help yourself when you return from the slopes.
High Tea for all children under 11 is at 5.30pm. It is served as a 2 course healthy menu, tailored more towards children’s tastes and puréed food is available for infants. Parents are asked to accompany their children under 3, whilst 3-10 years old are supervised by our childcare team.
Evening Meals – Adult dinner is at 7.30pm comprises 3 courses including an appetiser, main dish and dessert. The meal is accompanied by a prosecco apéritif and a choice of red, rose and white wines, culminating with tea or coffee. A 3 course regional speciality menu is served as one of the 6 evening meals in chalets. This varies by country and the French menu includes charcuterie, goat’s cheese salad, tartiflette and tarte tatin, accompanied by the prosecco apéritif and choice of wines.
On Staff Night Off, you and your family have the opportunity to eat out in one of the local restaurants. Ask our staff for any recommendations.
Family Dining – Many parents prefer to enjoy adult-only company over dinner but if it’s important to you to eat dinner altogether as a family, we offer Family Dining when you book the entire chalet for exclusive use. Dinner is then served from 6.30pm with the menu based on our adult dishes with some flexibility for the children’s preferences. There is a supplement of £39 per child for Family Dining.
