General Overview

Even better, La Plagne ski resort is home to the Vanoise Express cable car, which connects it to the Les Arcs ski area, creating a total of 600 kilometers of pistes. La Plagne ski resort itself is made up of 10 villages, each with its own unique character. Plagne Centre is the main village and home to the majority of the shops, restaurants, and bars. Aime La Plagne is a more traditional village located at a lower altitude, making it a good choice for families. Whereas Plagne Villages, Belle Plagne and Plagne Soleil are the highest villages, each offering visitors stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

For beginners there are gentle nursery slopes and expert instruction from one of the local ski schools to kick-start your skiing journey. Intermediate skiers can indulge in a range of blue runs such as La Plagne Bellecôte Glacier and the Plagne Centre bowl, or challenge themselves on red runs, such as the Combe de la Saulire and the Roche de Mio. While advanced skiers can test their mettle on steep descents and world-class black pistes. For the powder hounds, the Vanoise National Park has some of the best off-piste skiing in the Alps with powder bowls, couloirs, and hidden stashes just waiting to be discovered. Snowboarders can have fun playing in the dedicated snowboard areas, such as the Riders Nation snowpark and the Superpipe, with meticulously designed terrain parks, halfpipes, and natural features to showcase their skills.
